If you use firefox with the ublock origin extension, you can enjoy ad-free streaming on many platforms such as youtube, spotify and soundcloud. This is a great way to support artists you like without having to pay for a subscription.
Soulseek:
I use the p2p(peer to peer) music sharing app called Soulseek(I highly reccomend the use of a VPN when using). It's good at sharing music i "own" to people who want it and vice versa. If you decide to get it, check out my profile @bigmanhenderson and check out the website aswell as the reddit page and forum.
Aimp:
Aimp is a music player for windows. I use it because it's easy to use, customisable, has a build in tag editor and cd ripping software. It also has support for flac and other lossless formats. I've had it for years and its been great. I highly reccomend it to anyone who listens to music on their computer. I'll put the download link here.
Bandcamp:
Bandcamp is a music streaming and purchasing platform that allows artists to sell their music directly to fans. I use it to discover new music and support artists I like. It's a great alternative to streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music, as it allows artists to earn more money from their music. I highly reccomend it to anyone who wants to support independent artists and discover new music. I'll put the link here.
Jellyfin:
Jellyfin is a free and open-source media server software that allows you to organize, manage, and stream your media collection. I use it to host my music collection and stream it to my phone. You can check it out here.
Cover Search Engine(COV):
COV is a search engine for album covers. I use it to find high quality album covers for my music collection. It's a great resource for finding album art that is not available on streaming services or other music platforms. You can check it out here.
